Ep. 175 Healing Chronic Pain with Anna Holtzman

According to the CDC, in 2019, 20.4% of adults had chronic pain and 7.4% of adults had chronic pain that frequently limited life or work activities (referred to as high impact chronic pain) in the past 3 months. I am delighted to have a conversation with therapist and chronic pain expert, Anna Holtzman, about how to understand and tend to chronic pain.

ANNA HOLTZMAN

Anna Holtzman is a chronic pain recovery therapist and coach. She came into this work through her own journey of recovery from over 10 years of chronic migraines. Anna's training spans the gamut from Somatic Experiencing trauma therapy to pain science. She’s passionate about helping people understand that healing is actually very simple and intuitive, but it requires us to unlearn the cultural conditioning that can get in our way and even make us sick. Fun fact: Before becoming a therapist, Anna spent a decade working in reality TV. She lives in New York City with her partner and their three orange cats. You can learn more about Anna at www.annaholtzman.com.
